Work With Kelly

If you found your way here through Slumberkins, welcome. I'm Kelly, the co-founder and family therapist behind the creatures, the stories, and the affirmations your family may already know by heart. Before I ever wrote a book or built a company, I was a family therapist and school counselor helping kids and caregivers navigate big feelings together. That work has always been the heart of everything I do.

Today I work privately with a small number of people in two ways: supporting parents and caregivers who want to bring more connection and calm into their family life, and guiding high-achieving individuals through deeper personal and professional growth. My journey spans high-intensity, competitive environments, from professional sports to venture-backed entrepreneurship, and a decade of translating clinical practice into tools families actually use. Whatever brings you here, my role is the same: helping you find the path that is in alignment with your goals.

For Parents & Caregivers

You've seen what the Slumberkins approach can do for your child. This is that same evidence-based, connection-first approach, applied to you and your real life.

Parent coaching is a space to work on the things that don't fit neatly into a bedtime story: power struggles, big emotions (yours and theirs), sibling conflict, transitions, and the patterns from your own upbringing that show up when you're stretched thin. Kids do better when their grown-ups feel supported. This work is for the moms and caregivers who are holding a lot and are ready to feel steadier in how they show up.

You don't need to have it all together to start. You just need to be curious and willing to look inward.

For Leaders & High Achievers

My approach also resonates with high-achieving individuals and leaders. I know firsthand the pressure and stress of venture funding and high-growth goals, and I have a deep interest in healing practices and depth work. It is often the underlying patterns operating just below the surface of awareness that shape our outcomes and our sense of self.

I work best with people who are willing to look inward, are interested in responsibility rather than blame, feel drawn to depth work, and are open to being challenged.

The Nature of My Work

I work privately with a small number of people who are ready for focused, personal work. This is not traditional therapy. It is highly customized support, whether that means helping you become the parent you want to be or helping you reach your full potential as a leader.

This work is not a good fit for those seeking:

  • Crisis intervention

  • Processing of severe or complex trauma

  • Support while in an active abuse or domestic violence situation

  • Treatment for substance abuse

If any of these describe your situation, please reach out to a licensed clinician or crisis resource in your area. You deserve that level of care.
